John Wright of Eagle, ID took his first Powered Parachute lesson in the
late afternoon on November 4, 2002. Dressed in cold weather clothing we
flew down the Boise River and around the town of Star, Idaho. After
circling in the vicinity of his girlfriend's house in South East Star, we
returned for a smooth landing. John's girlfriend said she never saw us so
I'm thinking John just told me he had a girlfriend so I'd circle around the
Boise River where he could check out the duck blinds...

Mark Rogers, a local roofing contractor, took to the air for a new
perspective on the roofing industry from high up above.
Local pilot Gary Fisher gives Bill Jonakin an introductory powered parachute
flight one evening North of Nampa while his son and wife look on. The
photo was provided by Bill's son. Bill's flight was a result of his support for
the Boys and Girls Club of Idaho.

Nick McKellip and sister Laina McKellip along with friend Jordon, experience
their first powered parachute introductory flight from the family farm.

Gary Fisher of Boise, Idaho takes possession of the first Fusion
manufactured by Alliant Aviation. As an experienced and respected
pilot of powered parachutes, Gary will provide feedback to Alliant
Aviation on his perspective of the new Fusion. Preliminary results
indicate the Fusion is going to be a winner.

Cindy Towner of Boise, ID enjoys her first powered parachute
introductory flight.

Bill Gornik of Meridian, ID completes his first powered parachute
introductory flight while his wife Dorothy looks on.
Bill seemed
to enjoy his flight even though it was a little more tranquil than the
skydiving he did last year.

Sister Beth Tolomeo of Boise enjoys her first powered parachute flight
while
nephews Ben & Brian can only wish they were old enough for their first
flight.
Mike Harris and his daughter Kathryn experienced their first powered
parachute flights. The thrill for
Kathryn was when pilot Gary Fisher of Boise did an engine out and glided down
from 1200 feet to approximately
200 feet above the field before restarting the engine and gaining altitude.

Doug Mitchell from Colorado and his son-in-law Pat Wray of Boise enjoyed
their first powered parachute introductory flight. Doug has personally owned four
airplanes
over the years and was amazed at the simplicity and how much fun it was to
fly in a powered parachute. Pat's ride ended just as the moon was rising.
Doug Mitchell enjoyed his flight in a powered parachute so much (see above)
he decided to buy
his own. These are pictures from Doug's first solo flight while family
members looked on. I
think Doug is trying to coax his daughter Liz Wray of Boise to an introductory
flight but she opted
to take her first introductory flight
from an instructor with a little more experience
:-) .
Donna Cantrell is all smiles after her first introductory flight while
husband John (center) is still flying with local pilot Gary Fisher.

Utah. We spent a
week during October with our wives enjoying the rugged scenery of Eastern Utah.

A. Pierce from Nampa takes his first Powered Parachute
introductory flight a few months
after his friend Leslie (see above) took hers. Pierce has flown in other
ultralights but
this was his first flight in a powered parachute.
Brad Foltman of Boise takes his first Powered Parachute
introductory flight thanks to the
gift certificate he received from his daughter. His daughter bid on the
gift certificate during
last years Boys & Girls Club annual auction.
May 13, 2005
Don Boyce of Utah took his first Powered Parachute
introductory flight. Dan is no stranger to
ultralights having flown in a Trike Ultralight in the past. Dan's wife and
son Clay were able to
watch our takeoff and landing. We spent time flying in the desert and even
had time to watch a
coyote run directly below us a we were flying past him.

Dieter and Zenaida Reichers enjoyed a great evening flying south of Boise.
Tracy Stapley enjoys his first flight in the foothills North of Eagle.
